My backyard is large and faces south, which means it gets hot sun all day long. I have patio umbrellas but I wanted something I could pop up and let my dog have a rest area after playing and my family relax in the yard without baking. I look at several options and decided to go with this - I'm glad I did!

Wow the quality of the construction is amazing. It truly blocked out about 90% of the sun, creating a temperature drop of about 5-10 degrees almost instantly. I sprayed it down with water and it repel it instantly, definitely waterproof. My yard gets a lot of wind and the stakes held it in place just fine.

The color is a pleasing blue/grey neutral that works with just about any style. The curved design of this tent is also much more attractive than a traditional canopy.

The fact that the brand engineered it to fit into a small bag blows my mind. It comes with a laminated Setup Guide in the interior and one sewn into the side of the bag. The brand really thought through all of the details.

When I first set it up, there was a learning curve, so don't give up because it gets easier! The middle pole is the hardest in my opinion but I was able to do it by myself - it takes a little bit longer to do it solo but the payoff is worth it.

I have been using standard tarps for 40 years and when i saw this item i really had to think if it was as useful for my needs. Lemme inform you that this surpassed my expectations and was greatly needed to make my camping and day trips more fun. Setup did take a little longer the first time, but after tearing down and resetting the next day i got it up and staked down in minutes. The Tarp is large but does sit a bit lower in areas, this actually helped very much when the winds picked up one afternoon and kept us shielded from the messy storm blowing through. High quality stitching and solid structure poles made this my go to when car camping or when im in my RV. Not a drop of water fell underneath and the color was perfect; I don't think i can recommend this enough, what a great tarp to have for your travels. One thing i will mention for me was getting use to the center pole, after some time i didn't mind it at all. A+ Item !

This cover tent is made of very high quality fabric and is strong and durable. Assembling it for the first time definitely requires two people but it��s easier after that although nearly impossible to get back in its bag. It��s perfect for the beach or to put over the tent you��re sleeping in for added protection from the weather. The stakes are strong and sharp and the support poles are as well. It��s a little expensive compared to similar products but you get what you pay for and DMH is known for their tents and other outdoor products so you know you��re getting good quality.

This tent comes in a carrying case where the main canopy is wrapped around the stakes. Assembly is a little confusing to get oriented, but the long flexible pole creates the door frame and the solid pole pokes up the center. The frame takes a significant amount of force to get into place, but the result is a tight and aesthetic curved opening. That was by far the worst part, but once done it felt worth the struggle.

The included stakes are sharp and slide right into soil while retaining a decent hold. Not all ground types like all stake types, but my midwest yard didn��t need anything more.

I��m new to this style of tent and still trying to wrap my head around it. When I go camping, I want to be enclosed to keep bugs out. For this shaded nook, I view it more as an evening hangout location. Like a commons area for multiple people camping. While home, my kids like to lay out a camping blanket and read under it. Just an interesting shape that��s somehow fun to be under.

This is a first class tarp/shelter for a wide variety of uses. The quality of materials and stitching is excellent. The steel stakes are strong and heavy duty, not thin wires. It comes with a good number of guy lines pre-attached and ready for use.
I wanted to see how it would fit over a typical picnic table, so we took it to a local park to test it out.
The table in the attached photos is 8 ft long and 6 ft wide with benches. I was very pleased that it fit quite well with plenty of room left over. You could easily seat 8 people around the table and still have room for a couple of chairs.
Set up took about ten minutes the first time. I��m sure it will be 5 minute the next time. The instructions are simple and clearly demonstrated in the printed instructions, and also sewn into the carry bag.
It is a very unique and functional design. Several people stopped to ask about.
I am very pleased with this tarp and glad I ordered it.
