I purchaed the 10 person tent with awning and have to say that I am pleased overall with quality after using it this past weekend. It rained one entire night and the tent stayed completey dry inside. There was the issue though of the awning pooling water which made me have to go outside every so often and push up from underneath to remove this pooling water to prevent potential damage to the awning itself.
Another thing that disappointe me about my experience with Portal Outdoors is that this tent immediately went on sale right after my purchase and thee company was nort willing to adjust my recent payment to the new price. I was also angered by the fact that someone at there company used my debit card to make another Portal Outdoors purchase amounting to a charge of roughly $8.96. When I inquired about this mystery pruchacse the company told me that it didn't exist, but my bank statement shows differently. In conclusion, am I happy with this tent? Yes, I like the quality of this product at this price point so in that respect I'm very pleased. Will I ever do business with Portal Outdoors after this experience? No. I most definitely will not!!!
Bought this 10-person tent for two people. Big, spacious, great ventilation, and well made. Could have danced in it! I strongly recommend setting up the tent before using it to learn how. It's not complicated, just a bit confusing the first time. We had no issues weathering a heavy rainstorm, or packing it back in the carrying bag. I'd buy it again!
Light weight fabric that will shed moisture, but probably get you wet in a heavy rain. Has the usual tent features for ventilation, hanging stuff, and getting in and out. Zippers are small nylon....be careful with those to avoid hanging them in the fabric or damaging the teeth. Poles are good metal with an elastic cord to connect them.....didn't see any way to replace the elastic cord if it breaks. Two diagonal cross poles and a pole at each corner. Pin attached to the tent that goes into the bottom of the corner poles and a hip connector to join the vertical poles with the roof poles. Mesh top with a rain fly. Nice packaging including carry bag and smaller bags for accessories. Good setup manual with pictures. My wife and her sister put it up in about 20 minutes in the garage. Helpful to have at least one other person to support it until you get the vertical corner posts in place. Pretty nice tent for an overnighter and extremely light weight. Pin it down if you are expecting wind. A heavier weight waterproof tent with better zippers would be more appropriate for long term tent camping.

I am currently with my family waiting out a 3 hour torrential downpour in this tent at a campsite. It’s been raining, lightening & thundering something crazy for the last 3 hours straight and not a single drop of water has gotten into the tent. 100% recommend!!!
Love, love, love this mansion tent! It's huuuuge. Excellent for tall people. Great quality. Easy assembly. I assembled it alone without a problem and quickly. Great zippers. 6 windows. Fits my queen blowup mattress, 2 chairs and 2 folding tables with plenty of room left. Has hooks on the ceiling to hang lights. This tent is quite impressive. Strong and sturdy. Highly, highly recommend.
